Hampton Downs Motorsport Park
Situated 45 minutes from south of Auckland and north of Hamilton beside State Highway 1, Hampton Downs Motorsport Park is positioned in a natural valley, surrounded by 450 acres of rolling hillside. With this exceptional natural advantage, much of the race track is visible from any point.
The circuit layout is simple, without undue ‘frills', but because of the contour of the land, it's a challenging and rewarding track to drive. Unlike other tracks in New Zealand, this circuit has plenty of rise and fall – approximately 11 metres in total, with the greatest slope being 10%!
The 2.8 km National circuit has 6 corners (four right hand and two left hand), and incorporates the 1 kilometre long main straight, with a kink in the middle and the back straight is flat with a length of 450 metres.
