The whole experience was a positive one. All the people involved were polite, friendly and efficient. It would be so easy for them to be arrogant and blase, dealing with such a huge cross section of the population. The structure of total novices were taken from go to whoa was a little breath taking in its speed but it seemed to work given I saw no-one crash. I thoroughly enjoyable experience and one I'd recommend. The people behind this venture have done their homework and deserve commercial success.

Thoroughly enjoyed the experience it was awsome. Would love to do it again one day. As a recommendation, having the option of doing 6 laps on track 2 or 10 laps on track 3. I will certainly recommend it to people.

We held an Auckland Autoclinic Team building day at Taupo in 2010 with our staff, and we invited along half a dozen key clients to join us. Everyone took turns racing and cheering eachother on. Our staff and Clients bonds to Autoclinic became far stronger, and the amount of work we have got from this has made it one of the best investments we made, as well as it being one of the most fun, adrenalin packed race days I’ve experienced.

Having followed Formula 1 for nearly 40 years, to experience at last the thrill of driving a single seat open wheeler is one not to be missed. Starting off with a cheery welcome at reception, 15 minute video to explain the operation of a paddle shift gear change, overview of the track and safety procedures, it was then off to the pits to be kitted out with race overalls, boots, helmet and gloves. A couple of laps of the track then followed with a top driver in a V8 Supercar who was generous with providing the newbies with tips and advice on the best lines, braking zones and gear selection. A bonus being that your partner/spectator also gets to come out for these laps and that certainly made my partners day judging by her grin afterwards. Then into the cars which have been custom developed to replicate as closely as possible a true open wheel competition machine while keeping them as easy and intuitive to drive for complete novices. Its now that you begin to get a feel for the true experience of F1 and the other open wheel classes. Its not normal to stand on your seat when getting into a car but now you have no choice, lowering yourself into the "cockpit" you are then securely strapped in, a rundown given of the various buttons and switches and its time to start up and take to the track. What then follows cannot be adequately described, it can only be experienced, but maybe "WOW" best sums it up. Overall a fantastic experience and certainly one that I can fully recommend and will be taking part in again sometime soon. Thanks to all the team, a welcoming and enthusiastic crew with an obvious passion for motorsport.
