Alternative Driving Experiences

At Formula Challenge, not only can we offer racecar experiences in our V8 or single seaters but also the chance for you drive off-road in a 4x4, experience the thrill of driving on a skid pan or learn how to become abetter, safer driver through our Driver Improvement Programmes.

SUV Experience

If you're thinking our SUV Experience is a relaxing experience in comparision to our racing cars - think again.

You'll need to apply as much skill, concentration and bravery in the mud as you do on the track or you'll have no chance of successfully negotiating your way down mud-strewn tracks, through ditches and up slopes so steep you'll barely believe any mere car could scale. You will teeter at terrifying angles, climb what feel like mountains and then as you descend you'll feel like your dropping of the edge of the world!

Tantalisingly tricky tracks await you on your 4x4 Mud Masher experience and with our expert instructors will accompany you on your drive, offering advice and tips along the way.

Skidpan Experience

This experience is designed to be fun, with a focus on improving your skill levels and help you to develop into a better driver along with giving you a chance to go very sideways.

By the end of the session, you'll have developed an understanding for how your own car reacts and its capabilities. Some of the skills that you will develop include car control, skid recognition and skid recovery techniques.

All of this takes place on a purpose built skidpan facility at Hampton Downs using your own car and will develop skills that will be with you for the rest of your life. This experience is for all levels of drivers, from begniners to long-time license holders.

High Performance Driving Programme

Formula Challenges High Preformance Driving programme is designed to allow drivers who would like to drive on track with there own car but would like some in-car consultion to help them learn and develope their driving skills and enjoy their car to the fullest.

You will be trained by oone of our certified in-car consultants who will progressively improve your car control and help you develop your skills from those of a track novice novice to a more advances level. There is no better approach than to responsibly explore and manage your cars speed and potentail through our high performance driving programme.

Whether you just starting out on your first trackday or your the newest star on the track, our in-car consultants, with over 15 years experience in racing and high preformance driver training from around the world, are able to covering subjects such as proper seating position, vision, line techniques, performance braking and handling techniques as well as vehicle set up, data anyalsis, driver focus through to advice on how to conduct yourself if your an up and coming star.
